Coast tour

This Pico Island Adventure Tour will bring you to the most stunning coastal scenery of the Island of Pico. Along with photographic stops along the south coast, we will visit the vigia (whale-spotter) in his spotting tower and the whaler’s museum in Lajes do Pico. After the visit of the museum we will have lunch in a typical azorean Restaurant (the cost of lunch is included in the tour price) on the Lajes coast. After the historical stop in Lajes do Pico we will continue with our Islandtour to Ponta da Ilha, the most eastern point of Pico Island (With a little luck we can check out the Lighthouse). Continuing on the northern coast of the Island we enjoy totally different vegetation’s and remarkable views to Sao Jorge Island. We will stop at the best scenic spots of the north shore. Driving through Sao Roque we give you the opportunity to visit the old whaling factory where we can observe the nostalgic importance of whaling on the Island. Along the northern coast of Pico Island we will drive through the unique vine villages of Lajido. Before returning to Madalena you can try typical Liquors from our beautiful Island.

We will return to Madalena Port between 5:30pm and 6pm.
